Part Time Floral Designer

Job Description:

• Process daily floral orders including vase arrangements, funeral arrangements, weddings and other general flower arrangements. 
• Design custom arrangements, keep front cooler stocked with arrangements to sell.
• General upkeep of design area including keeping flower cooler organized, keeping vase shelves stocked and general cleanup. 
• Waiting on customers and answering phones when sales people are occupied with other customers.
• Other general duties (we are a small business, so we all do a little bit of everything…we are a team!).  We are open to hearing what your skills and strengths are because there is opportunity for utilizing these strengths when there is down time.  Some examples could be in-store displays, photography, graphic design skills, bookkeeping experience, etc.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience in floral design is a must.
• Customer service skills.
• General keyboard skills are a plus. We type and print all of our flower orders, process internet orders, and communicate with other flower shops via computer.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and being on your feet for most of the day.

Flower Shop hours:

• Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
• Saturday 8:30am-5pm

You will be required to work some Saturdays.  Looking for a part-time team member; however, hours are flexible and will be discussed upon interview.  More hours are required at holiday times when we are very busy (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas). 

Part Time Delivery Person

Job Description:

• Your main duty for the day is to prepare, route and execute our floral deliveries in a timely and effective manner.
• Analyze the deliveries for the day and create an efficient route (using Google maps) based on quantity of deliveries and any timed deliveries.
• Gift wrap deliveries, load in vehicle and deliver.
• Record what time deliveries were made & who it was left with as you are delivering.
• Note beginning and end of day mileage on route sheet.
• Keep van filled with gas and ensure that the van is kept neat & clean on inside and out.
• When you return, log all completed deliveries in to the computer.
• Assist with cleanup and maintenance duties at the store, including garbage and cardboard clearing, vehicle maintenance, and so on. 
• Report any damage to vehicle or any mechanical issues. 
• Keep 3 entry doors shoveled and salted during the winter.
• Help maintain sidewalk during the winter if needed. 
• Report back to store manager to see if there are any other tasks for the day. 
• Other general duties (we are a small business, so we all do a little bit of everything…we are a team!).  We are open to hearing what your skills and strengths are because there is opportunity for utilizing these strengths when there is down time.  Some examples could be helping with garden maintenance, general building maintenance and so on.

Job Qualifications:

• Friendly and approachable personality, as you are the face of our business out on the road!
• Valid driver’s license. 
• Ability to use a computer and a GPS.
• Must be physically capable of lifting, as some flower arrangements can weight up to 25 pounds. 

Hours:

• Needed 2-3 days a week throughout the year, including some Saturdays.
• Drivers call in day before they are scheduled to find out what time to come in.  It’s usually sometime between 9-11am, and you leave whenever the work is done for the day.  It can range anywhere from a 4 hour day to an 8 hour day.  Need to be available until 5:30pm on the days scheduled. 
• MUST BE AVAILABLE during busy times of the year (Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day).  More hours will be required during these peak holidays.  

Part Time Sales Person Job Opening

Job Description:

• Sell flowers to customers in store and on the phone..
• Process internet orders from our website.
• Prepare loose wrapped flower bouquets for walk in customers.
• Unpack and process flower and giftware shipments.
• General cleaning of store and work area including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, etc.
• Assist with creating in-store and front window seasonal store displays.
• Other general duties (we are a small business, so we all do a little bit of everything…we are a team!). We are open to hearing what your skills and strengths are because there is opportunity for utilizing these strengths when there is down time. Some examples could be photography, graphic design skills, bookkeeping experience, etc.

Job Qualifications:

• Must have general keyboard and computer skills. We type and print all of our flower orders, process internet orders, and communicate with other flower shops via computer.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and being on your feet for most of the day.
• Experience in designing retail store displays is a plus.
• General knowledge of flower varieties is a plus. ;
